I've tried a few different blade sizes for cutting turning rounds 1″ 3tpi and 5/8″ 6tpi and haven't had any luck.  I've also downloaded some plans for making a bowl round template for the bandsaw… also no luckConfused  Does anyone have experience with this?  It would be nice to be able to offer rounds to our customers once in a while instead of the usual squares… it also saves a bit on shipping Laugh

Hi Guitarman,

I've been cutting and supplying round bowl blanks for years now, the most efficiant way I have come accross is to use a 1/2″ blade (extra tight on the wheels) remember it is important to (roll) the wood, not vertically but with the blade, if done right they almost cut themselves. In Regards to ur template, take ur self off to a perspex (plastic) shop they can laser cut rounds in any size you want and Accuratley.. I did all of mine from 5″ up to 5' in 5mm thick sheet, perfect… apologies for jumping between imperial and metric messures but I hope that helps.
