The Greater Vancouver Woodturning Guild is chapter 130 of the AAW. Members meet on the 4th Wednesday evening of each month in the Sapperton Pensioners Hall beginning at 6:30PM. The format is:
Focus on Fundamentals - basic technical topics presented for beginner turners
Show & Ask - members bring finished work to solicit comments
Main Speaker - a presentation of interest to woodturners
Coffee Break - a chance to socialize and network with other turners
Business Meeting - a short update on the business affairs of the Club
President's Challenge - a simple challenge project set for the members by the President each month and presented next month
Instant Gallery - finished projects brought by members
Wood Exchange - members donate wood that is distributed by draw
Library - we maintain an extensive library of books and videos for members to borrow.
